Thank you!

The City thanks you for doing your part in the ongoing water efficiency effort.  Your cooperation is helping as the City’s well did not experience the same draw down depth as previous years.

The City also thanks you for your patience during the “construction” season this summer.  The City was able to complete many projects, with two still in progress.

Leveraging Street Funds…

The City received $372,050 in street project grant funding this year from two sources the Washington State Transportation Improvement Board (TIB) and the Spokane Transit Authority (STA).  The City spent $139,456 of its own money on matching funds and on five large street patching projects.

Completed Street Projects

The City completed the following street projects this year:  SR 902 Sidewalk Project; Legg St. Overlay Project; Hallett St. Overlay Project; Sherman St. Patch; Washington St. Patch; and other smaller patches.

Street Projects in Progress…

The City is in the process of completing the following street projects:  Lefevre St. Sidewalk Project (completing the sidewalk on the east side of Lefevre St. to the SR 902 intersection); Retaining Wall Project at 4th St. and Minnie St. (reconstruction of failing retaining wall); SR 902 Pedestrian Crossing Project (installation of a concrete pedestrian crossing at the railroad tracks).

The City has also ordered additional street lights installed on the south side of SR 902 between Lefevre St. and the railroad tracks to better light the SR 902 corridor and sidewalk.
