YOUTH PROGRAMS
TENNIS LESSONS 7+ years old This is a week long session that meets at the Medical Lake High School Tennis Courts. Bring a racquet and a can of new tennis balls. Leroy LeMaster, Instructor Fee: $35 Date & Time: June 21, 22, 23, & 24th Session #1 (ages 7-13) 4 - 5 pm Session #2 (ages 14+) 5 - 6 pm
SWIMMING LESSONS 5-12 year olds All classes are taught at the beach at Waterfront Park in Medical Lake. Beginning and Intermediate classes available. Fee: $35 per session Dates: Session #1 Mon. - Fri. 7/5 - 7/16 -Beginning class starts at 10am -Intermediate class starts at 11am
Session #2 Mon. - Fri. 7/19 - 7/30 -Beginning class starts at 10am -Intermediate class starts at 11am
SPRING SOCCER Boys & Girls 5-12 years old Spring soccer is an 8 week recreational league allowing youth to learn and play. Field size for this league is smaller than an average soccer field. All games are held on Saturday throughout the West Plains. Practice days and times will vary and will be determined by coaches.
Deadline to register: Fri. 3/5 Dates: 4/5 - 5/22 Fee: $35 ($10 late fee after the deadline)
T-BALL & BASEBALL These sports are offered by West Plains Little League. Check out their web site for registration information. www.westplainslittleleague.com
SOFTBALL This sport is offered by West Plains Little League (see above) or contact Spokane Youth Sports at 536-1800.
ADULT PROGRAMS M.A.C. Adult Sports League This is an Adult Sports League formed by the Recreation Departments from the cities of Medical Lake, Airway Heights, and Cheney. The goal of this league is to provide men and women in the West Plains with an opportunity to engage in athletic sports in an environment that encourages friendly competition, good sportsmanship and positive growth in athletic skills. All players must be 18 and older. League participation is limited to those that have not played at the college or professional level in the previous three years. SPRING SOFTBALL After much demand the MAC League will be welcoming a spring softball league to our list of activities. All players must be 18+. Primarily Sunday games.
Registration Deadline: Friday 4/23 Team Fee: TBA
ULTIMATE FRISBEE Ultimate Frisbee is a fast growing sport combining the non-stop movement of soccer with the aerial passing skills of football. The object of the game is to score by catching a pass in the opponents end zone. This is a non-contact sport played on an open field with a specialized Ultimate Frisbee Disc. The first game will be an instructional scrimmage that will explain the fundamentals. So all are welcomed to join this coed league. All players must be 18+. Min. of 7 players 14 max. per team.

COED SOFTBALL This recreational slow pitch league will play by coed rules. Form a team and join us for a great summer league. Registration Deadline: 7/2 Team Fee: TBA Games: 7/11 - 8/29

SENIOR ACTIVITIES
GOLDEN AGER CARD CLUB The Card Club meets every Tuesday at Noon in the City Hall Council Chambers. Pot Luck is the first Tuesday of every month at 11:30 am. New members always welcomed.
SENIOR NUTRITION PROGRAM Thursdays at 11 am in the City Hall Auditorium. All are welcome. Volunteer cooks needed.
AARP SAFE DRIVING CLASS The AARP Driver Safety Program is an 8-hour classroom refresher that can help you learn the effects of aging on driving and how you can adjust your driving. This class is taught in two, four-hour sessions spanning two days. Ask your insurance company about any discounted rates they may offer upon completion of this course. Please call our office to sign up for this class at 565-5007. Date: Mon. 4/12 & Tues. 4/13 (2 day class) Time: 9 am - 1 pm Fee: $12 for AARP members $14 for non-members (pay at the class, make checks payable to AARP)
